VHere is an excerpt from their exchange!

Marc de Beaucorps

Do you also have professional fraud, which sometimes leads to even more serious things, such as money laundering or the financing of terrorism?

Pekko Thai

This type of professional fraud is mainly based on large amounts or repeated acts. We analyze and research it on a daily basis, to be sure to avoid these professionals attacking us by saying that we are prey and that we have faults.
Recently, we detected one on our side. It was sent back to ALFA, precisely to share it with the various insurance players. Verdict, we realized that two other actors were already committed to it.

Marc de Beaucorps

Did they already detect it or not?

Pekko Thai

They had also detected it.

And then we realized that there were still others. The police also intervened.
From there, everyone filed a complaint to have coordinated action for this type of professional fraudster.
On the other hand, what is most worrying for us is rather “Mr. and Mrs. everyone”, who, at some point, will sense an opportunity and say to himself:
“Ah, hey, I heard...”, “I had my neighbor...”
And these people, on small amounts, will always push the cursor further.

Marc de Beaucorps

And social networks are also a real vector, right?
Instead of saying: “He's my neighbor”, today it's more like: “Oh I saw it on this group”.

Pekko Thai

Absolutely. There are practically operating procedures and that is why we also follow them on our side. We want to see everything that is being done on the market, everything that they think is possible and likely to work with insurers, in order to be able to counter them.
